Columns Cryptic Christmas Cracker
I recently created this illustration for the digital Christmas card for Covent Garden based branding agency Columns. The alliteratively titled 'Columns Cryptic Christmas Cracker' features a winter Covent Garden scene crammed with 34 different brands represented cryptically in puntastic pictorial form. The clues range from the blindingly obvious to groaningly fiendish, my personal favourites include Nandos (Nan doze) and Microsoft (My crow soft) both below.
Everyone who successfully names all 34 brands will be entered into a draw and Columns will be donating £250 to the chosen charity of one person drawn at random, the first 10 correct entries also receive a mystery gift.

Virgin Staff Magazine Illustrations
Two editorial illustrations I did a couple of months ago for Virgin's staff magazine, which for some reason is called 'The Roger Collective'. One article was an employee interview and the other was about health and safety at Disneyland.

Colourful keepers
On the left is René Higuita, Columbia's 'Sweeper keeper'. Higuita was famous for scoring free kicks, his habit of leaving his goal to dribble the ball up the pitch and also his trademark Scorpion kick . Here is 'El Loco' in probably his most infamous World Cup moment back in 1990.
Next to him is Jorge Campos who played between the sticks for Mexico in the 1994 World Cup in USA. Flamboyant Campos was also partial to a stroll up the pitch but is probably better known for his (self-designed) headache-inducing kits.

Tringe 2014 plasticine poster
Here's the poster for the 2014 Tringe Comedy festival featuring my plasticine comedians. As well as creating the poster, I will be compering at one night of the festival and performing at another - I may well also be writing the theme tune and singing the theme tune.

Another Fine Meth
A plasticine Laurel and Hardy/Breaking Bad illustration with Stan and Olly emulating Walt and Jesse by cooking up another fine meth.
I thought it might be interesting to show what goes into making one of my plasticine illustrations so below is a one minute, stop motion, time lapse video showing the process from start to finish – enjoy!

Milton Jones made out of Sculpey
Here's a model of the comedian Milton Jones that I've just finished. It's my first experiment using the modelling material Super Sculpey.
This is a test piece for something I'm thinking about doing for this year's Tringe Comedy
Festival - last year I made these 'stand up stand ups'.
Below the finished painted model of Milton are a couple of process shots showing the baked model being sanded and then given a coat of primer. There may or may not be more, I'm not sure!

EasyJet in-flight magazine cover
I was recently commissioned to illustrate the front cover of the January issue of Traveller, EasyJet's in-flight magazine. The issue featured a story on diving and yoga holidays in Egypt so I was asked to create a heiroglyphic based illustration using plasticine.
Below are some process shots plus an article on the making of the cover that also featured in the issue.
