Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Illustrated Charlie and the Chocolate Factory print featuring Willy Wonka by Elliott Quince Thought I'd repost my Charlie and The Chocolate Factory illustration after seeing the new cover design here on the Creative Review blog. Not entirely sure that I like the new photographic cover but then I suppose Willy Wonka was a bit dark so it kind of suits it.
Anyway, here's my effort featuring Charlie Bucket and the rest of the kids meeting their eventual fates.

  1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a story to be read again and again. It captures Dahl's excellence in making a hero out of the least popular child around. This is a great tale to reinforce that wealth does not trump poverty and that good guys can finish first. Reading this book in secondary school helps students grasp the deeper meanings of themes, symbols and motifs that can be missed at first glance.
