Each one of this years Christmas cards came with an individually rendered (reindeered?) swear word. As this is a family-friendly website I've pixelated the below image, I'll leave it up to you to imagine the exact level of coarse language featured on each card.
Here's a communication/technology themed mural I did recently on the windows of Steelcase's London office for their 'Living on video' event, click to make them bigger – more images including some live drawing I did at the actual event to come soon.
A Star Wars tee I'm working on
This is the second of three iPad/iPhone games that I've illustrated for iD Gum. The premise is simple, fire golf balls off a boat and into the blowholes of whales to score points whilst also aiming to hit flying fish and seagulls. The screenshot shown below is from a unlockable bonus mode featuring tartan whales and flying pigs. Once again the chaps at Chunk Games and Droga5 take all the credit for putting the brilliant campaign together, the apps are available to download here.
I've been thinking about doing some greetings cards featuring really bad puns. This one is a birthday card that I think would sit neatly alongside this one that I did a while back.
If you've downloaded the T-Rex in V-necks game that I illustrated, there's a great Disco mode which you can unlock that features a funky soundtrack and neon-clad aerobics dinosaurs that score you double points.
Here is my contribution to the Compare/Contrast exhibition curated by MrGresty. The brief was relatively open with a loose theme based around things that are the same, different, equal or opposite. My piece is called 'Man and woman' and in my usual juvenile fashion it uses the playground hand signal for 'sexing'. More info here.
A quick snap (admittedly taken after a few too many complimentary beers) of my Plasticine Tatooine illustrations on the wall at the Association of Illustrator's Best of British exhibition at Somerset House. Get yourself down there, it's really good and I'm not just saying that because my work's in it. I will also be giving a talk about plasticine, humour, Star Wars and general illustration stuff at Somerset House on October the 28th – expect hilarity!
